Where is Grand Junction Renaissance Faire located?

Grand Junction Renaissance Faire is located at the Veteran's Park at the Mesa County Fairgrounds.

When will tickets be available for purchase?

We are working on all the details (and there's a lot of them!) and we will have tickets for presale in the coming months. We do anticipate a very large crowd, so we encourage you to join our email list on the homepage, and/or our facebook group so you'll be the first to know when tickets will be available.

Will there be camping?

We are working on getting camping accommodations as an option for fairgoers, however we do not yet know if it will be available at the 2024 faire other than for guilds. Keep a look out for updates as they become available.

we're coming from out of town, where can we stay?

Here in Grand Junction we have a plethora of hotel and motel options available- they do book fast, even when there isn't an event taking place, so we recommend to make your reservations sooner rather than later.

i don't have any renaissance garb, can i come without a costume?

Absolutely! While costumes are encouraged, we don't want you to miss out if you don't wear one! Come one, come all! Plus, you never know what our merchants may have that tickles your fancy!

can i bring my own food or drink?

We do not allow for outside food or drink inside the venue and our security will be enforcing that. Don't worry though, you'll be able to feast to your content with all the mouthwatering food and libations galore that our vendors will be selling.

Are there any restrictions for bags/backpacks?

Bags are allowed, but all bags, purses, backpacks etc will be searched by security at the entrance.

My dog doesn't want to miss the faire, can i bring him?

We love Fido as much as you do, but alas we cannot allow any pets inside the faire. There will be livestock and equestrian shows and we don't want to risk injuring anyone with a frightened horse.

Service animals that meet federal ADA guidelines are permitted. Emotional support animals do not enjoy the same rights. The ADA does not require that all animals be accommodated at all times. The ADA guidelines stipulate that the dog must be leashed or under strict verbal command, and under the owner’s control at all times. We ask that you do not leave animals on the park perimeter or inside your vehicle. In such cases, the appropriate authorities will be notified.

My costume includes a weapon, can i bring that?

Realistic-looking weapons must be peace-tied to your person. Exposed sharpened steel is never permitted.
Foam/LARP/Plastic weapons do not need to be sheathed.
Replica and plastic firearms must have an orange tip on the end of the barrel, and the trigger must be zip-tied in the ‘fired’ position.
Wooden staves, walking sticks, and canes are allowed providing they do not contain anything sharp. If there's a sharp point it will be treated as a blade and must be contained as one.
Bows are welcome as long as they are unstrung or strung with a material than cannot hold tension. Any arrows must be untipped and peace-tied.

Our security team will inspect any weapons and will offer assistance. You must adhere to their guidelines.

if i leave the faire, can i come back the same day?

We will have our hosts at the entrance give you a hand stamp for reentry in the same day only.

What is the age limit for entry?

The Faire is open for all ages to enjoy, and there's something for everyone! Please be aware that some entertainment may not be suitable for kids, check the faire program at the entrance and entertainment schedules for details!
