At Grand Junction Renaissance Faire, we strive to create an unforgettable experience for our guests, providing a platform for artisans, performers, and learning in a fun and engaging environment suitable for any and all people!

Article 1: Name and Purpose
Section 1: Name The name of this non-profit organization shall be the "Western Slope Renaissance Fair Association," hereafter referred to as the "WSRFA."
Section 2: Purpose The purpose of WSRFA is to organize and host an annual Renaissance Fair for the communities of Western Colorado and neighboring states, providing an inclusive and enjoyable experience for people of all ages. The funds generated by the fair will be reinvested into the local community to support schools, libraries, struggling families during the holidays, and other charitable initiatives.
Article 2: Membership
Section 1: Eligibility Membership in WSRFA is open to individuals who support the organization's mission and objectives.
Section 2: Rights and Responsibilities Members shall have the right to participate in WSRFA activities and meetings. They are also expected to support the fair's goals and volunteer as needed.
Article 3: Board of Directors
Section 1: Composition The Board of Directors shall consist of a minimum of five (5) members, including a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Fair Coordinator. The board may include additional roles as needed.
Section 2: Responsibilities The Board of Directors will manage the affairs of WSRFA, including planning and organizing the annual fair, overseeing financial matters, and ensuring that funds are allocated to community initiatives as per the organization's mission.
Section 3: Meetings The Board of Directors shall meet regularly to discuss fair planning, finances, and community contributions. Special meetings may be called as required.
Article 4: Annual Renaissance Fair WSRFA shall host an annual Renaissance Fair, providing a diverse range of entertainment, vendors, and activities for the community. The fair will be family-friendly and inclusive, promoting a sense of community and cultural appreciation.
Article 5: Finance Funds generated by the annual fair and donations shall be managed transparently. A significant portion of the proceeds will be allocated to support local schools, libraries, struggling families, and other community needs, as decided by the Board of Directors.
Article 6: Amendments This constitution may be amended by a two-thirds majority vote of the membership. Proposed amendments must be presented at least 30 days before the meeting in which the vote will occur.
Article 7: Dissolution In the event of dissolution, any remaining assets, after paying all liabilities, shall be distributed to other non-profit organizations with similar charitable goals in the Western Colorado region, as determined by the Board of Directors.
This constitution is hereby adopted by the founding members of WSRFA on 10/20/23.
The Faire is a place for one and all to enjoy. We are committed to providing a safe and fun environment no matter race, religion, sexual orientation, age, ability, or political affiliation. We will have security and discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated.
We are for and by the community, and we welcome all suggestions, comments, critiques and the like. Our Facebook group is a public domain and forum for anyone interested in volunteering and/or joining our board of directors. We are a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization and are run solely on volunteers, and sponsors.
